MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the Supreme Gents of Lagos Club is open to male individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 30 years of age and of good character.

  • Must complete the membership form and undergo a 3-month probation before confirmation.

  • Must be financially committed to Club activities and events.

  • Must be mentally and physically sound.

  • Membership confirmation requires approval by two-thirds (2/3) of the General House.

All confirmed members are addressed as Mr. or Supremo before their names.


MEETINGS

  • General Meeting: Held every last Sunday of the month at 2:30 PM.

  • Executive Meeting: Held quarterly (every 3 months).

  • Emergency Meeting: Called as needed, with notifications sent to all members.

  • Quorum: 7 non-executive and 3 executive members.

  • Supreme Gents — for official Club information only.

  • Show Your Profession — for members’ professional, educational, or social updates.


LEADERSHIP & OFFICERS

The Club’s leadership structure consists of:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • General Secretary

  • Assistant General Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Financial Secretary

  • Social/Welfare Secretary

  • Public Relations Officer

  • Chief Whip

  • Organizing Secretary

  • Two Ex-Officio Members

Each officer has defined duties and responsibilities to ensure smooth administration and uphold Club integrity.


COMMITTEES

To maintain proper governance, the Club operates through various standing committees:

  • Auditing Committee: Oversees and reports on Club financial records.

  • Electoral Committee: Conducts elections every two years.

  • Disciplinary Committee: Handles issues of misconduct and disciplinary actions.

  • Welfare Committee: Manages members’ welfare and assistance programs.

  • Maintenance Committee: Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the Club’s properties.


ELECTIONS

  • Held every two (2) years in May.

  • Members must have served at least one year before contesting any executive position.

  • Elections are conducted by open or secret ballot.

  • Only members in good financial standing can vote or be voted for.

  • President and Vice President positions are reserved for former Exco members.
